A/Prof Simon Carlile, who heads the Auditory Neuroscience Laboratory at the University of Sydney (Australia), provides a glimpse of the interplay between music and emotion, explaining how the wiring in our nervous system influences some our most primitive abilities to dance in synchrony with a beat.
